Welcome

Welcome everyone!

After doing a million emailouts over the years, it's finally dawned on me (after some great workshops about Web 2.0 technology last weekend at Griffith University!) that it would be easier to let everyone know about my performances, research, teaching and presentations though a site such as this one.

Emailouts (especially those with pds or Word documents attached) are time consuming and pretty annoying as well, since emails bounce back at times, get caught up in spam filters and every so often, I get back an email saying, "please take me off your mailing list", which indicates that the mail was never wanted in the first place.

On several occasions now, my server, Optusnet has blocked me for a few hours after sending these mailouts, on the basis that it looks like spam (which I guess it is to some people!)  But, I know there are a lot of people still interested in keeping up-to-date with what's going on, so this is the reason for the site.

Until I get things up and running here, details of my performances can always be found at:  http://www.karenlonsdale.com/ or at  http://www.myspace.com/karenlonsdale

Information about my research on Prevention and Management of flute playing injuries is available as well at http://karenlonsdale.wordpress.com

Enjoy!
